TILP membership is for individuals rather than organisations. Localisation companies are asked to encourage their employees to register with TILP. There are four grades of membership:

• Student Member
  Anybody studying localisation (or localisation-related subjects) can apply to become a student member of TILP.
• Associate Member
  Anybody with an interest in localisation can apply to become an associate member of TILP.
• Professional Member
  Localisation professionals can apply to become professional members of TILP. TILP will establish criteria to determine who is a localisation professional. Entry would be through the successful completion of the TILP certification programme or TILP may grant entry on the basis of suitable education and industry experience.
• Fellow
  These will be nominated by TILP. Fellows are experts in their field and will advise TILP on issues such as certification.

Membership will be for one calendar year, expiring on 31 December each year. Initial subscriptions paid after 01 September will not expire until 31 December of the following year.

• Professional certification (this excludes the application to become a professional member)
• Attendance at various workshops, including Ask The Experts Sessions
• Attendance at the LRC annual conference

Fees will be reviewed in consultation with the TILP Council.
