The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP) has the primary aim to develop professional practices in localisation globally. TILP is a non-profit organisation, owned by its members and lead by a Council elected at its Annual General Meeting.

Localisation Teaching, Training and Research Network (LttN)  

LttN, the Localisation Teaching, Training and Research Network is a network of academic organisations involved in the teaching and training of localisation professionals and in research into localisation-related issues. It operates as a special interest group within The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP).

Membership of the LttN is free. However, individual members have to be members of The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP) and be educators in a third-level insititution. They must apply individually to join the LttN. 

The LttN provides -

  • A Discussion Forum for tutors and researchers involved in localisation

  • Teaching, training and educational resources, including:

    • Bibliographies

    • Outline Curricula

    • The Annual Localisation Reader

    • Lab exercises and tutorials

    • International Journal for Localisation

    • Annual Localisation Research Conference

  • Access to localisation-related teaching and research resources
